My doctor says no food or drinks 2 hours before. Check with your doctor, each doctor is different.

i was told no food 4 hours before a fill and no liquids 1 hour before. i would be starving

by the time. I would do my fills during my lunch hour. It was the perfect lunch, i'd be hungry

right before and fine the min id jump off the table.

I don't eat solids before a fill just because I know I have a finicky band. However, I was never told not to.

I do the same thing Missy. I wasn't told not to, but I don't just so I don't have any complications. I do usually eat Breakfast because my appointment is normally in the afternoon.

Hi it may be diffrent in uk but my 1st fill is in Nov. I was told liq 3 days prior and 3 days after all consultants are different give them a ding dong and check first

Dang, that's a long time! Did they tell you a reason why you can't eat for 2 days before? The food is already out of your stomach in a few hrs, so that really doesn't make any sense. My doc tell me no solid food for 2 hrs prior. I just do liquids beforehand anyway, as my husband pointed out once - if my tummy is totally empty, the adjustment may work better. They can get it snug on there better. But he's a computer nerd, not a dr!

my band is tight in the morning so no matter what the doc says it''s proabally not a good idea for me anyway

Well since my office weighs me I try to eat as little as possible!

I have never been told not to eat or drink before a fill but with my appointments usually late afternoon, I haven't eaten since lunch anyway.
