October 2012 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

How is everyone doing? I feel like I've stalled a little bit. I definitely need to up the exercise. I've been walking a lot more and taking the stairs instead of elevator but clearly that's not enough. I haven't had anyone notice my weight loss so that's been a little disheartening... I feel like I might need my second fill (I have 3.5 cc) Anyone else?

I've also updated my blog and will try not to neglect it, it's good for me to blog and really think about using the band correctly. http://thefatgirlthin.blogspot.com/

Hello! I'm doing great! I'm going in for my third fill 12/26. I've lost 46 lbs so far and still going strong. Banded 10/5.

I take TRX classes 3-4 times a week for now.

lapband 10/11/12. I'm down 31 lbs. Weight loss has slowed but I had my third fill 2 days ago. Hoping to be in the green zone when the swelling goes down, as I was for a couple of weeks after my previous fill. I have about 7 cc in a 10 cc band.

I just started karate 2x/week and I love it. Makes me sweat like crazy. I'm still anxious about long-term success, but I'm trying to take it one day at a time.

Good luck, all, and post updates!

40lbs is amazing! and in such short time!! just take it as it comes.. ! I do know it is fustrating when the scale doesn't move though. I learned to just keep doing what I'm doing and I know it will come off!

Doing Great!! as of today lost 40lbs was banded 10.22.12 and I feel so good! this last week I messed up.. but I am back on track! Had my 2nd fill yesterday and have 4cc total now.. 2 the 1st time and 2 yesterday. Need to exercise more, I walk about 5times a week. You all are doing awesome! keep up the great work!

What is the green zone again? I weighed 202 starting and am only down 12 lbs. had band on oct 25. I'm feeling really down about not losing more weight. I think I might have even gained. I'm eating more and food seems to be going down easy. Any advice?

Tammy sounds like you need a fill!! I was banded 10/8 and have had two. I'm up to 4.5 cc in my band and I feel good. Green refers to being at a good fill level. Not to loose and over eating or frequently hungry. Not too tight and vomiting. Green is just right in terms of restriction fullness and hunger.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
