I Am On My 1St Day Of Pre-Op Diet!

Recommended Posts

I recently found the Syntrax Nectar Protein Powder, and had it overnighted. This has been a godsend! Instead of being really thick, it's just slightly thicker than Water. If you've ever had Sunny D, I would say that's a good comparison as far as consistency.

Well, if this can be a bit of a motivator, after 8 days of pre-op liquid only diet, I fit into a pair of jeans I have not worn since 2007. I can't tell you how much I lost since i don't own a scale, and still on the fence about getting one, but wow! super impressed with my will power. Keep it up guys!! this is bringing us closer to our dreams.

See! You had it in you all the time! I wore a skirt today that I haven't worn in 8 months. The back would ride up because of my big *$s. SO HAPPY!

Good luck to all of you just starting your journey. It's hard in the beginning, but really helps prepare you for whats to come and also the weight loss is a big incentive. I had surgery end of June this year and I've lost 40+ lbs and it feels amazing. I feel and look so much better already! I didn't think I would make it in the beginning, but decided to follow the rules and not cheat. I still eat mostly all Protein, no bread or Pasta. It's becoming routine now and I just don't have as much desire to eat the junk food. The scar on my belly is a forever reminder to stay on course. Hope your surgery goes well and your journey is successful.

I started 3 days ago. Only because I needed some time getting use to the liquid diet. I know I was going to make mistakes with hunger pains hitting me. Are you excited?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
