You should be able to eat any bread as long as it's toasted. I just feel better not eating bread so I don't. You'll just have to experiment & find a brand you like. If I want a "sandwhich" I have a lettuce wrap- romaine is perfect for it! Good luck.

I would love to know that myself! I can't have any kind of bread toasted or not :( I haven't had a sandwich in months! If you find a good one please let me know!

i buy those thin bagles. they are super thin and i think 100 calories. I have never gotten stuck eating one of them. I toast them for a sandwich or put a little garlic and "spray butter" on them and krisp them up in the oven for garlic bread. mmmmm also a pita pocket is a good choice. I can do most breads toasted.

I eat mini whole wheat Bagels toasted, whole wheat breads, and thomas' english muffins (all toasted) I am fine as long as its toasted. I like to keep my breads in the toaster oven and get it crunchy by just letting it cook a little longer. Whole wheat pita breads are great sliced in halfs and toasted. You should have no problems with eating toasted breads at all.

I was banded 2 1/2 years ago and can only tolerate toast about once every six months. Ok that is a choice and I am good with it, but I still cannot eat/digest the majority of meats out there! Nothing ground, and nothing roasted EXCEPT the occasional piece of pork! Anyone else have this problem? I basically live on Soup, a fried egg or the occasional salad. If I try to discuss this with my provider they immediately want to xray. I have done this all is normal but does anyone else have such a poor diet?

It sounds like you are living on "sliders". Your band is probably too tight. You are probably hungry so you think it's too loose but it's actually the opposite. If you are so restricted you can't keep down solid Protein you won't feel satiation. Listen to your dr. Read the threads in "complications" & you'll see the long term problems a too tight band can cause Trust me - you will feel so much better. Good luck.

Morganjm & Tere1985...I've only been banded since 9/7/12 but I have only eaten lo-carb tortillas for use as bread. I usually make a cheese or sausage n cheese quesadilla. Yesterday I made a tuna melt. If you haven't already, give it a try. Good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
