Wow, what are you doing?

I think the band did something to me psychologically, even the day of surgery I kept wondering how I was going to eat. I'm still trying to find restriction but I don't tell myself or others "I can still eat whatever I want just less of it" I know thats not true and once every pound is lost I don't ever want to see it again! I get between 90 and 140 grams of Protein a day. I do not eat any carbs like Pasta or bread, I drink my Breakfast pretty much everyday. I make sure I get plenty of exercise...er except during my special time of month.... the only snack I eat are microwavable Pork rinds (a true blessing), and I'm still working on my Fluid intake but I try to make sure I get at least 60 oz a day. Other then that, I can't let the band do any of the work for me because I have no restriction...I just know not one single meal I eat will ever be my last. Oh yea and I love the tiffany rothe work outs on youtube!!! I try to do a few of them everyday as my cardio warmup.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
