Everybody is coming back from surgery with such rave reviews. How could I be nervous anymore, I just can hardly wait until Friday and finally get my band:dance: . I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!

Thanks for the lesson. I think it worked. :clap2:

Again, good luck everyone!

I too am very excited after reading today.

hello everybody, i just got back from mexico from having surgery with dr rumbaut on may 11th. many people were there at the same time from the states. i lost 21.5 lbs in 10 days on the liquid diet (last 3 days of that were clear liquids). had several minor problems (none of them medical),with hotel, etc., but overall was good. dr r. and staff are very good, friendly, and kind. nursing care at hosp. could have been better though. now i have 3 weeks of full liquids ahead of me, then soft foods.

i am glad to be back home and enjoyed looking over the posts i missed while gone. good luck to all may bandsters!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Hey babyjane are you from the northwest?? My wife and I were both banded the 11th by Dr. Rumbaut. We are having good results. Good luck!!!!

Hey Merry May'ers!

I had a huge NSV this weekend...

I saw friends I haven't seen since about a month before surgery. When I got out of the car at their house, one of the folks said...

"Oh my! Your face is getting skinny!"

Yes, I'm glowing....

Laura Par - NSV = Non-scale victory. I.e. old clothes now fit. Someone didn't recognize you. An unexpected compliment. You can walk farther, etc.

Heresdeb,

I would definately call my doctor, or of your surgeon isn't local, call your primary care and make an appointment. You might just be experiencing gas, but, that shouldn't make you short of breath.

A pulmonary infection can be treated pretty easily, but, you can do serious damage to your lungs if you have one and don't get it treated. GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!!!

MAY BANDSTERS ROCK!

You can feel the energy through this thread, everyone is so excited, it's just awesome. Keep going guys!!

ON YOUR BANDING TOMMORROW!

:whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo:

I've tried very hard to build my success with this around the non-scale stuff. If I get caught up in what the number says on the scale, I freak out. I'm trying very hard to be healthy in all ways...mentally, physically and so forth. Having old clothes fit, having someone compliment how my face is thinning, being able to be more active, etc are the most important things to me.

Takin' it one day at a time....

I will be 3 weeks post band tomorrow and I am 30 pounds down (16 preop, 14 postop). I went to a movie today and, guess what???????? I fit comfortably in the seat. I even put the armrest between my hubby and I down. I havn't been able to do that in years! I guess this is my first NSV!! WOOHOO!!!

Good luck to all of those being banded this week. My thoughts and prayers go out to you!
