Great post! I need to make a list too! Don't forget to have broths, sf pops, pudding..

I stocked up on little medicine cups, this is how you will need to drink your Water. About ounce at a time.

Get a little pillow or a cushion, if you have to cough or sneeze you will want to hold it against your abdomen or else you will hurt.

Jello will be your best friend for a while. Good luck!

Try Protein drinks now to see which ones you like and stock up. You will want broths, cream Soups, sf popsicles, sf pudding. Also, one thing I wish I would have done is made some real homemade Soup (before surgery) and froze it for the broth. To me, chicken broth got boring. I much prefered having some homemade soup broth that had more flavor to it.

Also, you may want some neosporin at home in case you need it for your stitches or incision and you may want some chapstick for the hospital and post surgery.

Have plenty of everything on hand, because everyone is different as far as what they tolerate. I could barely get ANYthing down except for popcicles for the first 2 days. Call the nurse hotline if you are worried during your recovery or don't feel right. They'll help you through.

Lipbalm, I bought a pillow cushion thing that has armrests. It helped sleeping the first couple of days, Id sleep in a semi sitting position.

I didnt have anything to drink for the first 3 days, Drs orders. The Lipbalm saved my life and those things they give you in the hospital to moisten your mouth etc, grape flavor.

Two things I'm glad I thought of before surgery... Other than broth, Protein shakes and crystal light the rest has been about being comfortable. I have 5 incisions, two of which are pretty large and one of them is right below my bra band & clevage. A super comfy bra is essential. And super comfy clothes. I ordered these two things:

and these gauchos:

I got two pairs of new comfy pants - and one new bra. Really wish I'd bought two bras as well!
