Have you ever had to have blood taken before? Did that hurt? Was it unbearable?

It's normal to be nervous. I think I was almost as nervous about going for my first fill as I was for the op. I imagined it as being a little bit like amnio(which I have never had). Everyone told me that it was fine but until you have been yourself you do not believe them.

I find it best if I don't watch whilst the put the needle in. At the most , for me at least, it can be a little bit uncomfortable.

You're female so chances are that you regularly put yourself through more pain in the interests of looking good. Eyebrows, bikini line, brazilian, leg wax etc

awdontscare me first fill is tuesday

Banded July 5th & just had my first fill today. It dudnt hurt but it was weird feeling. The initial stick was numbing agent & it stung a bit, but not bad. The injecting of saline was an odd sensation. It's like I could feel the cold saline running up the tube. Idk but it was a very uncomfortable feeling for just a second until he pulled back on the amount of saline. It was super squeezing my stomach & it just felt odd. Then I stood up to drink water & the needle in the port kind of stung. In the end, I got 3 cc's which he said is pretty standard for my band. Now I won't be so nervous because I know what to expect! I was ready for it bc I have been so hungry. Now, liquids for next 48 hours. Good luck with your fill!!!

I had my 2nd fill today with no numbing agent!! It didn't hurt at all.... It all depends on your pain tolerance and anxiety level!! Don't stress you are on your way to a healthier you!!!

5/28/12 pre-op diet started (217lbs) 6/14/12 Surgery 1.8cc added to 10cc band (205lbs). 7/17/12 1st fill (194lbs). 7/24/12 (191lbs) 7/30/12 (187lbs)
