Well, sometimes people can get so thirsty that you think you are hungry. So, I try drinking a glass of Water first, if I'm not sure if I'm really hungry.

are you eating more than a cup of food at one setting?

if you can eat more than that, you need to cut down on the amount of food you eat.

i am full right at about 4 oz (the same full feeling i use to get at eating a whole pizza..

my full sign that i am done eating is baby hiccups

but i stop eating at 1 cup, regardless

best of luck

My full sign is I can feel the food moving through my band slower. If I continue to eat....it WILL get stuck. Sometimes my band starts gurgling....very disturbing at a dinner table. My daughter will say, I think your band has had enough. Lol.

My band makes noises when I've waited to long to eat. But I don't think I've ever been full

I was banded 9 May and if I'm hungry I get left shoulder pain and if i eat to much I get left shoulder pain. I know this sounds weird but that is my cue either way.

I am just learning all this...such a great question to ask!

I am just now on mushy - and surgeon told me to eat a little (2-3 oz), then see how I "feel"...if I feel "comfortable" - I'm done.

If I start feeling gurgly again in a couple hours, eat a little more.

Struggle right now is gas...so sick to death of GasX...ugh. Still, it does help, as does walking. Guess I'd better get up and move a bit!!

**off topic...did anyone have any allergic reaction to the surgical tape?? I left mine on until it started coming off on its own, but my skin is SO itchy...any suggestions about what to use to relieve that???

I have an allergic sensitivity to surgical/medical adhesives, and get red, angry and itchy welts from contact with them.

Aveeno has an anti itch lotion which helped me...and my surgeon allowed me to use 1% cortisone cream after the incisions were closed to sooth the welts.

I hope you feel better fast...

I always wondered about this. The "full" feeling is the same as before? My doc gave me the impression that my "full" feeling would be in my esophagus as opposed to in my stomach. I'm happy to hear that your full feelings are like they used to be. I REALLY hope mine will be too. I can't imagine feeling OK with anything else

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
