Drinking Alcohol After Lap Band...

Would like to know ppls experience of drinking alcohol after lap band. I am normally a beer. Drinker but have had the lap band almost 1 month I haven't tried drinking any beer im scared it may stretch my stomach from the bloating that comes along. I have drank some daquari and margarita drinks which I still have some bloating aftr about 2 drinks any suggestion of what u post lapbanders are drinkin alcohol wise????

3 ciders mixed with Vodka is not 3 drinks. A cider is probably equal to 1.5 - 2 standard drinks and depending on how heavy handed you were with the vodka that could have been 2 standard drinks each too. That means that you could easily have drunk 12 standard drinks even though you didn't realise it. Not surprising you got drunk, I would have too, band or no band.

I was thinking the same thing. I regularly have two glasses a wine at night. Occasionally on the weekend I might have three. And while I don't get sick at three, I know that's definitely my limit and I might not feel 100% the next morning. Whatever that cider and vodka was, I'm sure it would have kicked my butt too!

4 months post op and went to a bar ordered gin and tonic. Drank about 1/4 of it. 2 days later had one entire drink and then just before I left Tucson I ordered another and drank only half. Did not feel the effects, but got full on the liquid so probably only do this on a very rare occassion.
