Wow Weetsin, maybe you should look at them everyday to believe how far you have come. You look absolutely wonderful and that gives me hope. DeltaDawn looking forward to seeing your pictures too since you have lost over 100 as well.

Keep up the great work!:clap2:

Had DH take a round of progress pics tonight. Of course he cut my head off. :)

Here's just over 8 months and about 115 lbs gone. Or let's put it this way:

Before: Tight size 32 skirt, tight 26/28 shirt.

Current: Size "I" (equivalent to size 22) jeans, size 1x shirt.

WOW!!! what incredible progress you've made. :faint: you are such an inspiration to me!!!

keep up the fabulous job!

Hey Wheetsin, we are pretty much in the same boat weight-wise as far as where we started and where we are now. It's pretty cool!

But I gotta say...damn...your pictures are AMAZING!! I'm in a 22 now too; however, I don't look anywhere as trim as you. You're doing an incredible job! I'm impressed!

Congrats to everyone! Everyone should be proud of themselves. Even 1 lb lost is 1 less then yesterday and heading in the correct direction. I wish i had taken some before pictures but I always stayed behind the camera. I have been getting fills regularily all along and i think I finally hit just over the sweet spot. I am really tight and can hardly eat much at all and have trouble getting even yougart down sometimes. Makes taking my pills in the morning fun! Finally! last month i didn't loose anything but did loose inches. Since the fill last week i am already down 3 lbs. Picture 2x4 upside head - I can be taught!

Teresita, wonderful loss. Congradulations...

Hi everyone. I went in for my first fill today and since I have lost 33 pounds in 7 weeks they didn't give it to me. They said, the band is a tool and obviously I don't need it yet. Next visit in 4 weeks. Can't say I mind, especially when I hear about people throwing up, and getting things stuck.

Thank you bluehill.

Northernsun you are doing awesome, do I need to go look for some pics of you or did you post any yet?

Sandranoelle that is what my doctor did also and I am so glad he did. I am actually learning what it takes to get the weight off and my band gives me that kick I need for the moderation. You are doing great, keep it up.

Hi Guys,

I too am having fill questions. I have done well so far, but I am wondering if I need the next fill? I am scheduled for a fill in 2 weeks (I have to fly to Montreal from the Arctic), but I am losing and am scared a lot of being too tight. I have had no problem with getting stuck or pb's so I am wondering too.

Any advice out there would be appreciated.

No I don't get tight when I fly. I am just wondering if I should wait on the fill... I am still doing well and expect to see a loss this week and suddenly I am thinking I don't need it and I can wait for a bit.

I will be down in Montreal again in January so I could postpone it until then.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
