Five Fills Later, I'm At My Green Zone....i Think...

Well, I have had 5 fills and am now at 7cc in a 10cc band. I eat 3 very small meals a day and am not hungry between meals. I think I have hit my green zone finally. I eat slowly and chew my food very well and that is definately helping me to avoid getting stuck. When I do get that feeling of being stuck now, it's because I know I am full and can't take another bite. I have an apt in 2 weeks and I don't think they will add anymore to my band. We will see....

  • Thanks KFlower, I really hope this is the last fill for me. It doesn't bother me to get them, but I am so ready to start losing weight at a constant pace.

How long have you been banded and how do you know when you need a fill?

I was just about to post this same thing. I have had 5 fills as of Tuesdays and now have 4.5 in my band. I am eating very little and feeling full for 5-6 hours. I am going to give it a nother 2 weeks and see how i do fingers crossed the green zone will stick and not go away again. Good luck and keep us posted.

My surgeon said that the band around the stoma is like a ring if you loose weight its gonna start being a little loose around the stoma. That's when you need to go back for a fill.

Just listen to your body. If you are eating 4 oz 3 x a day with 2- 2oz snacks and you are still hungry then its time for a fill.

Some Drs only want the 3 small meals a day, no snacks in between.

I think we are all different with very different lifestyles if a snack is something that works for you why starve yourself. Try to keep them to a max of 2oz or 200 calories.

I am at 6cc's, its my second fill & its working for me. I don;t know yet if I can call it my green zone yet...
