  1. Yes, I have used them and I like them. I like the cafe caramel better over the mocha but my sister likes the mocha better. I guess it's a matter of choice. I have tried them all except the breakfast ones. They have more carbs that the other ones and less protein. I have also used the eas brand and the muscle milk light. I like them all.
  2. Relax. I was nervous too. But don't worry, the eveluation consist of 2 parts, written and oral. What the psychologist wants to know is that you understand this is a major lifestyle change. You understand this is a tool and not a quick fix. That you have to work with the band and not let the band do all the work. Excercise and good eating habits are important too. Quick tip: Don't rush thru the written questions. They will ask you the same question over and over again just to confuse you. No rush. There's no right or wrong answer. If you have done your homework and read all the material given at the seminars you'll do fine.
  3. My team said not to worry about carbs and calories in the beggining. You still have to try and choose light and ff items but you can have carbs every now and then.
  4. My nick is : kflower84 Feel free to add me .
  5. I guess it depends on the surgeon. My surgeon didn't ask me to do anything and thakfully everything was fine. If he would've asked me I would've done it for my own good.
  6. I take chewable multi vitamins and chewable calcium with vitamin D for better absorbtion. I have to set up my alarms so I don't forget to take them, I do whatever it takes to stay healthy and not have a deficiency in the near future.
  7. Cream of wheat, cottage cheese, pudding, yogurt, oatmeal, refried beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes or plantains. All of those are phase 2 foods.
  8. I am feeling a lot better. I guess whatever I had stuck came down on its own. I was able to eat a little bit of soup last night. I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD GO TO THE DR OR NOT. I really dont want them messing with my band. I guess I'll wait and see.
  9. I read it but wasn't sure it will work . I will definitely give it a try first. Thank you!!!
  10. That's one of the reasons am afraid to get unfill. I feel pretty good right now but I think I might have stretched my pouch and the only way to get the pouch back to normal size would be emptying it and adding restriction little by little but im afraid I would never find that "sweet spot" ever again.
  11. I want to have a healthy weight for when I decide to get pregnant. (hopefully next year) I want to be able to play and run with my 7yr old nephew and my own kids. (when I have them) I want to ride rides in the amusement park. I want to look good in anything. and the list keeps going....
  12. Yes, its normal. The gas will start coming out eventually and you will feel relief. For me walking and drinking warm liquids was the best remedy . Good luck and feel better soon.
  13. I hope everything goes well. I am in a similar situation but it only started yesterday. I haven't been able to eat today due to burping. It's too painful to eat or drink (the same feeling you get when you get stuck) I called my surgeon and he said go to the ER for unfill or if you can keep liquids down wait until Monday and go to the office. Please let us know how everything turn out.
  14. Congratulations!!! I don't have any kids but I can't wait till I get pregnant. I still have lots of questions so I can't answer any of yours but I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK with EVERYTHING!!!
  15. The problem is not so much the burping, is the pain that comes with eating or drinking. This started yesterday around 9 pm. I thought that it will go away by today but nothing. I woke up today around 7:30 am feeling hungry I tried drinking something and the pain (the same feeling you get when you get stuck) its unbearable. I called my surgeon and explain everything to him. He said that I need to get unfill but since today is Sunday he said to go to the ER (but I don't want to pay $2500 deductible ) He said that if am able to keep liquids down to wait until Monday and go to the office. Im trying my best to keep liquids down because I can't afford to go to the ER right now. All I had so far is an 8 oz Protein shake, 6 oz coffee and my chewable Vitamins. I had 2 baby spoons of yogurt but I could not take the pain. I am 10 months post surgery and never thought this could be happening to me at this point in time. Thank you all for your responses. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
  16. I can't eat or drink because I been burping all afternoon ... I don't know what to do ? Any advise ?.... I think it was some crackers I had that are causing all this burping but I can't really say. All I had today was the usual coffee in the morning (10;30 am) follow by my Protein shake.(12pm) A few hours later I had crackers (keebler) with mayo (2 pm) follow by another cup of coffee. (I think that the coffee on top of the crackers made them expand or something like that) After that I had more crackers with 2 slices american cheese (5 pm) I tried having ice cream around (9pm) but the burping would not allow me. Its painful trying to eat or drink like this . HELP!!!!!!
  17. I totally understand what you're going thru. The hardest part for me was finding a psychologist that would take my insurance and do everything in one visit. The one recommended by my doctors office wanted $150. Others 2-3 visits or they would simply not take my insurance. The fee was $300 for the whole thing. I called my insurance several times until I found one. If that specific dietitan is busy until November just try to look for someone else. The sooner all the pre op requirements are met the sooner you'll have your surgery. Good luck with everything!!! :-)
  18. Wow. I can't wait til I get there. Congratulations !!!!
  19. Myfitnesspal.com is easy to use. Everything is there. I love the scan tool ! My nick is kflower84 You're all welcome to add me.
  20. My nutritionist said at least 70g per day. She wants me to eat and to rely on protein shakes only when needed.
  21. The psych evaluation was the hardest part for me. I was so nervous. I've never been to a psychologist before I didn't know what would be the right answer. I also had to answer a million questions and I agree with others they are basically the same question just worded differently. I made sure I read them carefully to avoid mistakes.
