For Anyone Debating To Convert To Sleeve

I just wanted to let you know that it is DEFINATELY worth it to convert the band to the sleeve. There is no more worrying about slipping, or leaking. The surgery was even easier then the lap band surgury. I had the lapband for 4 months and realized it was going to be a lifetime of problems. With the sleeve, most of the stretchy part of the stomach is removed so you don't have to worry about stretching it much and also you have a natural feeling of full. There is no heart attack feeling when you eat too much. I've also lost double the weight in 4 months then I lost with the band. I am so happy I made this decision.

I should have the endoscopy this week. Just got letter from Insurance company approving it as medically necessary.

So far just speaking for myself I have done pretty good with the band and I didn't want them to cut or reroute my stomache as I know everybody is different but just to let you know my vousin had ryn done she did pretty well , my Aunt on the other hand has had her stomache stapled twice , and gastric bypass , went to get the band when they got in there they found her liver was connected to her liver so they did the sleeve and she lost weight with all and gaind back with each so everybody is different but she is doing better with the sleeve but not as much as she had hoped and she knows about nutrition and other things she is a retired R.N.
