HI, I am 35 days post of and was doing great. All pain and soreness gone. Then two days ago I started to be sore at the bottom of my port. sharp pains. I felt a lump about as big as a marble just below my port. It is tender and sore. This was not there before. I first thought it was scar tissue -which it may well be but it hurts and is really tender and it wasn't like that before. How would I know if it is an infected stitch or scar tissue? Anyone know?

My doctor is at Stanford and I am 300 miles away. I am going to see my regular doctor tomorrow but they really do not know anything.

Your regular doctor may not be familiar with the band, but should know if there's an infection or not. Good luck!
