7 Days Post Op And I Feel Like A New Woman

First 6 days for HELL, excuse my language but it was, nausea, constipation, gas pains, soreness, etc. And finally I hit today and feel great! yay. I'm down 17 lbs total in three weeks, I'm excited about that. Thanks for all of you all who gave me suggestions for constipation and gas pains and nausea, it helped.

. Hi, Donna, what helped you with constipation ?? And gas??

Just be careful because I felt lousy on day 5 and then day 6 felt like my old self. So I went out and walked my dog and went to the grocery store ad then to the mall and boy did I pay for it. I was exhausted and my incisions hurt. I then had a job interview the next day and after it I came home and slept for like 3 hours. 3 weeks later I still get tired ad sore if I do too much. Hope you don't experience this, but just wanted to let you know.

I was very compacted and constipated after surgery, actually hadn't gone in 5 days so I did Miralax and then drank a half bottle of Mag. Citrate and then stool softner and after all of that, my bowels moved and have been moving ever since. Guess it took all of that to get them started from surgery and pain meds. As far as gas I take gas x and still do. Hope this helps. good luck

yes I'm taking it easy, my mom is helping me a lot. She went to the grocery for me yesterday even though I wanted to go we both thought it would be too much on me. Thanks for letting me know of your experiences.
