What happens when you reach goal?

Does the lap band ever come out ? I've done so much reseach but can't seem to find that out. .. Maybe someone can shed some light on that.. Thanks again.. Everyone here has been so nice and informative

Unless you have complications, there's no need for the band to ever come out. If you really wanted to, you could have an unfill when you're done, but that would sort of defeat the purpose. Once you're at goal, the band will keep you from overeating, so you don't gain it back.

If for some reason you keep losing past your goal, then they would do a slight unfill so that you can eat more calories & quit losing.

Hi, I have maintained my weight loss for 2 years and I just recently got a very small fill because I felt like I was eating too much. Otherwise it has been a year since I have had a fill. Unfortunately I didn't lose too much weight. I still work at staying on track. Hope this helps. Monaicon7.gif
