CONGRATS ON THE LOSS! How's the taste? Tolerable? Do you exercise?

I haven't exercised while I was on the liquid diet I've been really busy working extra hours and gettin things set up for my leave.... my job is very physical so I guess that plays a part. The muscle milk lite is really good actually it's surprisingly sweet and doesn't have that yucky artificial sweetener taste. The slim fast low carb however wasn't the best lol I got chocolate and vanilla..it wasn't horrible but you can definitely tell its low carb and low sugar it leaves a bit of a after taste in your mouth but it was drinkable!

I mix my muscle milk lite with 8 ounces of skim milk instead of the Water so it's one scoop per 8 ounces of milk and that is 190 calories

I drink 2 muscle milk shakes and 2 slim fast low carbs a day no order

Thanks for doing this post. I have only been to my first appointment with my surgeon, so I still don't know how many hoops I will have to jump through for my insurance. I have been trying to decide which would be the best shakes to try because I can't have chocolate or caffiene. I wish you ladies the best of luck!

I HAD TO SEE: PULMONOLOGIST, CARDIOLOGIST, UPPER GI X-RAY, CHEST X-RAY, NUTRITIONIST, sleep APNEA TEST, QUIT SMOKING, PROVIDE 5 YEARS HISTORY O WEIGHT PROBLEMS, AND LOST 10-15lbs! I BELIEVE MOST OF THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE FOR MY SURGEON, BUT I DID IT! MY INSURANCE APPROVED IN A WEEK

The best high Protein Shake I have found by far is Lean Body on the Go Bananas and Cream- no aftertaste at all.

I was not required to do the liquid diet either (just low fat) but I did decide to do it for a week prior to surgery. I had two Protein Shakes, two Greek yogurts, and one Quest Protein Bar a day. It was good practice for after and helped get some more weight off.

My spouse likes the muscle milk, but I didn't care for the taste. I prefer Boost high Protein rich chocolate. Get variety packs of Jello. The same flavor will get old quickly, plus you will need to have some stocked for the day after a fill, etc. As far as Soups, buy a fine strainer and strain soups. It has a much better flavor than plain boullion cubes. Just watch the sodium! Good luck!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
