So Ready For My Next Fill!

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill a week ago today and it is 2cc in a 12cc band, which didn't really do anything for me. I have my next one on Friday the 6th and I'm hoping I get some restriction with this one. I know it's different for everybody, but I'm curious, how long did it take you to get to your "green zone" and how big is your band? Thanks!

Hi, my band is 11cc and I have 5cc. I have a bit of restriction but can still eat to much I think. I am hoping my third fill does it. Good luck.

I am still not in my green zone and it seems to be hard to find it....I have 4.75 cc in a 10 cc band, but that was after my third de-fill taking out .25 cc. I was really tight there, and seem to be soooo loose in the evenings now.

I went for my first fill last Saturday. Everything felt the same until wed when I developed terrible heart burn. My dr took out all fill (3cc) and told me to rest it. I go back wed to get 2 put in. Arrrg but man was I miserable!!

I'm ready for my next fill! I want to hit that green zone soon! I have about a week or so left until my next appt. Not sure what band I have but for my lapband card, I was told it was large. Wonder if that means its the 14cc one?? I have 5.4 cc in right now.

Thanks for your stories everyone! I am hoping my doctor will try at least another 2 or 3cc. I tried to schedule it a little earlier but he only does fills on Fridays.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
