Welcome to the monthly challenge. April shower bring May flowers so this months April Showers Challenge is a fun way to keep track of your monthly weight loss while gaining and giving support to other bandster's.

Copy and post the template below and fill in the information that you are comfortable sharing on Sunday April 1 the come back every Sunday on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 30th and post your updated weight. I will keep track of the weights and try to get a table listing everyone's results on the following weekend.

Goal weight for April 29th~ Since I have yet to make a goal I've set for myself in recent challenges, I'm going small this month April goal 168

Weight on April 1st~ (March 25-171.4) will update later

Age~39

Dietary goal for April~to up the Protein and get the scale moving.

Exercise goal for April~zumba twice a week, add in another two days and stick to it

Personal goal for April~to start recognizing the thinner person in the mirror and to be happy with the changes instead of seeing the imperfections

Date banded~11/18/11

Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~Down 42 since meeting my band doctor 6/12/11

What is your favorite part about spring~ The buds on the flowers, being able to spend more time outside doing instead of in the house flattening the couch cushions.

I've been stuck on a scale plateau for about six weeks. I had a fill on March 7th and unfortunately I saw the scale move in the wrong direction. I got that under control but haven't been able to get it lower than the day of my fill. Very frustrating. I hope April brings a new focus and some noticeable weight loss. I'm tired of this defeated feeling.

What is your favorite part about spring~ The smell of the cool morning air when I open the door to go to work.

I look forward to being part of this challenge. I need some accountability to someone other then myself, that doesnt seem to be working since having my son 2 months ago. :blink:

Hi everyone this is very exciting because I was just banded last week! I hope this challenge will keep me motivated. I have no idea how much to expect to lose since I won't have my first fill untill mid-April. So I chose 18 pounds because it would be wonderful to be under the 200 pound mark.

Dietary goal for April~ try different Breakfast things so I'm not so hungry

Exercise goal for April~ keeping up my "habit" of exercising at least 5 days

What is your favorite part about spring~ I love the dogwoods that are blooming right now, I always look for them!!

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
