American Idol

Janet - I agree. And like my mom and I were talking about this morning... regardless of WHO the actual A.I. is, most of these top 12 will get some kind of recording contract. Taylor, Chris, Mendisa, Katharine, Paris, Elliot.... (((Elliot is so humble. I like this guy. Actually, a complete personality opposite of Kelli Pickler.)))

ryan needs to layoff of him. i read on a message board that he had a little dgf at home, and he broke up with her.

The top 12 all tour with Idol as well. So they'll get great exposure. (Wish they'd extend the age limit! LOL)

Ok...so pissed that Kevin is not gone. I wish we could vote against people...I would stay up all night voting to get him out!!! That was mean, but he gets on my ever last nerve! That Lispy...voice....ugh! Anyway...Loving Chris...my hot talented hunk of man. I puling for him and mandisa. Mandisa is from Nashville, where I am from so gotta pull for her, plus she is awesome!

Kimberlilly - wow! I love the picture cross-off thing you did...and I agree with the alteration of Kevin! LOL!

So, bye-bye Melissa; although, I did like her voice when she was "on".

Kevin is giving me flashbacks of last season and that red-headed guy....anyone remember his name? Anyway, there are people out there who band together and vote for the worst one, just for the pleasure of manipulating the vote. I heard there was a website for it?

Total shock that Ace and Lisa were in the bottom three. I'm not a huge fan of Ace...he's good looking, that's for sure, but I get tired of those long, smoldering looks...it seems fake to me....but I understand you girls (and guys?) who think he's hot.

Now, just have to wait til next week? Anyone know what the theme is going to be?

I swiped that AI contestant pix with the X's and the Kevin "makeover" from another board that I frequent, so I can't take any credit for it--but she updates it each week, so I will drag the new one over here for all of us to keep track of who is who!

the website is votefortheworst dot com. It's an interesting read (kinda) and sometimes funny!

Wow! From that site there was a whole expose on how UNINNOCENT Miss Pickler really is. I hope she goes soon, I hate being deceived. If you're really from the country, FINE but don't pretend!

GRR. I get too into this show, I know!

:) Kristin

Next week is 50's week.

Can't see anyone having a rough time next week, lots of music history from the 50's. I see some old school country from Kelli and Bucky, old-timey love songs from Elliott, Ace, and (UGH)Kevin, blues from Taylor and Paris. Kathrine, Lisa, and Mandisa will surely pull out some amazing standard from the period. Which leaves Chris - hmmmm. I am sure he will find a way to make it his whatever he chooses (maybe some early Elvis?)

Guess we'll have to wait 'til Tuesday!

Not that I am a Kelli fan but her story is 100% true...I live less then 30 mins from where she is from and it's all true. No don't get me wrong she isn't my favorite by no means but being a local I do feel the need to pull for her. Now I like Chris alot....but I could see Mandisa taking it all the way.

So I am torn on who is the best right now...all I know is Kevin's voice gets on my last nerve. Paula you are right all the teens girls are calling but they should be in bed at that time shouldn't they. haha..

I think the show has put her story out there to be good TV. She doesn't choose what they edit and air as far as her life story. I'm sure each and every contestant has told the producers their life story and the producers then make the decision about what gets on TV. So basically I don't think SHE is using her hard luck story, I think the producers are putting out there.

That's my first reaction when Ace sang "Father Figure".......

I called up all my sisters, sister-in-laws, and friends and told them - Ace could be my daddy......Golly - he was HOT that night.

Since then I have to admit Chris has blown Ace away.

But then lately I have really gotten into Bucky and see him as a future Kid Rock of sorts....he has it.

As for the girls I picked out the McPhee girl from the auditions - but I really believe it is a BOY's year this year.

All the boys blow all the girls away.

Love the show.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
