Anti-Inflammatory Question!

Recommended Posts

I use an all natural (liquid) anti-inflammatory called Qi Nopal (www.nopalworks.com). I started taking it as soon as I got out of surgery and it helped me heal up quickly. I take it every day as part of my Vitamin regime and it really helps. It even tastes good : )

Was just popping back in to say narcotic pain relief is another option. Does nothing for inflamation, but is an option.

I see someone beat me to it! :)

do you mean like ocycontyn ?? thats script here. i imagine that narcotic pain killers would be very bad for Constipation wouldnt they?? but, you are right, they do work well.

I take motrin and aleve every single day I am two and three months banded no problems. I cant live without them or I would not be able to move. Tylenol does nothing for severe arthritis pain. Its not like its laying in your pouch it goes right down. Im not gonna hurt because I have the band. I just make sure I eat before or after I take them

Oxy is a narcotic, there are many. Yes, the are by prescription, but my PCP understands that I am not to take NSAIDs continuously. They can cause constipation. Just offering up alternatives.

i hear you about arthritis. im not good with it either.. but im managing with osteo panadol. now im just not sure about these tabs after surgery. they are rather large, in the shape of a capsule and i reckon they would worry me. im goign to have to ask the dr about them.

my main attack after lapbanding is the barley green. i know how good it is for easing inflammation in the joints. im hoping that i can get my body back to a more alkiline state than it has been. i now its been so acidic all these years. it needs a good cleanout. ive had barley green before, many years ago. it helped me enormously then. made my skin good and even made my hair shiny. ive bought a kilo of it and have a teaspoon every day. maybe two if i can get it down.

Having to be on meds does make it harder. im glad that your meds dont make it hard for you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
