  2. Hi All, Banded March 21. My doc advises Clear Liquids. For 2 weeks post-op, so I'm becoming quite the broth conissour. Went to MD's office today. Staples out and DOWN 18 lbs. Yeah. Wish everyone hear the best of luck! Mary
  3. Dear Ready..............I agree as nurses we are definitely chronically dehydrated. Well glad to be home anyway. My doc also thought we only had to lift 20 lbs not 59 so I guess i'll be home 6 weeks not 4. Definitely need the break. Error 50 lbs
  4. Wow Judych pasta already. On clear liquids for 2 weeks.
  5. Judych. Glad to hear that all went well. My surgery went great but a lot of nausea from the anesthesia and severe dehydration. Was banded om 3/21 didn't get home until 3/23. Was actually offered another night but really missed my own home and bed. Had an awful headache until this afternoon, but feel like I'm finally headed in the right direction. Anyway no surgical and no appetite. Take care all.
  6. Hi Lisanj. I'm @ Hackettstown. Think you said you were @ Mountainside. I used to work there in the eighties.
  7. Just want to thank you all for your well wishes. And yes I am having surgery in the hospital where I work. Sun is just setting here in NJ. Tomorrow is a new day. Will post after surgery tomorrow. All of your support is greatly appreciated.
  8. Just got called by the hospital. Have to be there @ 6:30 for surgery @ 8. Feel a little nervous now. Bag is packed. I guess I'm ready to go. At least I won't have much time to think about it in the morning.
  9. Dear Ready........ I am also an RN on a 12 hr shift surgical floor. Scheduled for surgery this Wed. Was told 4 weeks.................I guess we'll see.
  10. Not much to add. Just want to wish you good luck and success.
  11. Kmom2 thank you for your insight and encouragement.
  12. Judych, Tried to email you privately but mail was returned. Just want to wish you luck tomorrow.
  13. Hi Judych, Nice to hear from someone going to surgery on the same day. Wish you all the best. I get so emotional thinking about this surgery. I feel like I have so much riding on this. Well I wish us both the best. Good luck. Can't wait to see how we progress post-op.

  16. Lol. Thanks for the pb visual.
  17. Hello March Bandsters, My surgery is this Wednesday, March 21. No pre-surgery diet prescribed by my Doc. Good thing, I feel like I would go to the OR already feeling like a failure. I don't know how you do the liquid diet unbanded. God bless all of you that were able to do it. Have my clear liquids and protein powder ready to go. My husband stopped and got me sugar free ice pops. Nice gesture from someone who is usually not the most supportive. He actually has taken quite an interest in this surgery. See my primary MD tomorrow. Then all I have to do is pack my bag for the hospital. Excited but also a little nervous. Woke up from rotator cuff surgery violently puking. Don't want to mess anything up or do damage to myself. Have to make sure I speak to the anesthesiologist pre-op. Well I wish all of us the best. P.S. What exactly does pb stand for. I get the puking part. Just curious.
