Moved To Area And Need Doctor For Fills

I'm having a heck of a time finding a lapband doctor to do my fills. No one will call or email me back once they find out I was banded in NC. Does anyone know of any local doctors who will take patients who were banded somewhere else? I'm in the New Tampa area.

If you are in the Louisville Ky area definitely Dr. Shina with the Suburban Medical Center.

I lived in Florida but moved back home. Sounds like you need to move to Ky. LOL Good Luck! It is a wonderful Journey!

I have found a fantastic protein shake, and it has me back on track. Check it out http;//sherrybellingham.myvi.net

You should ask your surgeon in NC to help you find someone in your new area. A quick letter or phone call from the orignial surgeon and maybe the surgeons in your new area will be more willing to deal with you.

Good luck. If you were in St Augustine, my dr is awesome but you're about 3 hours away!

Yes I Loved St Augustine, I lived in Daytona 28 years and back to Ky in 98' Daytona 500 going on right now in fact

I live in Orlando but my doctor is in Tampa by memorial hospital, his name is Wilfred Aguila 8138776000

I meant to add that he knows the problems that I've had finding a Dr to touch me in Tallahassee. I think he would be more understanding re your relocation.

I see Dr. Crooms in Tallahassee; have you tried him?

He's one that wouldn't see me because he wasn't my surgeon. They're all so afraid of the liability they won't touch you! My pcp did refer me to Angela Cain, a new bariatric that just joined their group. She's seeing me next month. She's not a surgeon, but I hope she's up to par on fills. That will be wonderful!

I know exactly how you feel! I was banded in NE & had a heck of a time finding a Dr in the tampa area that would take me for less than $400 out of pocket! I decided it was cheaper to fly back to NE & pay $65.

I relocated from TN to NC and didn't have any problem finding a dr in NC. I know my surgeon in TN took patients from other areas because he felt like it was his duty to help anyone he could. Sounds like you need to find a dr more interested in the patient than the money!!
