  1. YIKES I am that old person then LOL
  2. You can also add it to your protein shakes. I have heard of it but never tried it. Judy have you personally tried it.. Just curious, I have heard of it and totally forgot about it.
  3. one of my doctors told me at first if really clogged take a laxative.. I also do the rectal suppositories when needed, Once problem somewhat resolved, then I start out taking generic stool softener, sometimes two to three if needed. every night before bed. My family doctor said it is alright. Hope that helps. I love my Protein shakes because they have the probiotics that help with that problem. That have a natural cleanser, to keeping everything rolling, LOL. Since I have been doing these shakes my(#2) has become almost normal, which is rare for me because I am on lots of meds which the side affect is constipation. I'm not sure what stage you are in if somehow you could get some Fiber intake, as well.. Best Wishes!

  18. I would be afraid to eat steak... I really would stick to the plan. In fear of band slippage. When you eat anything that grows when chewed, your new stomach will try to push that through and could cause possible slippage of your band. This is just my thought. I still can't eat steak and I am 2 years out. I know to stay away from breads, steaks, anything that grows or swells when chewed (which always was my weakness). You just don't want any stress on your band especially this early in the game. Stick to your doctors rules instructions on eatting so very important. This is just my thought. You just don't want to mess up all you have accomplished. Good Luck!
  19. Sweetie have gotten you any of the chewable gasx, what you are feeling in shoulder is common among most new banders, probably result of the air they pumped your tummy to see inside you.. Get up and walk as much as possible. Drink lots of fluids and I forget can you do your Protein shakes yet. If you can don't miss any, helps with hunger. Honestly this stage to me was the hardest of the entire procedure, the surgery was nothing to me. This stage you are in was the toughest for me, but it will pass just stick to the plan you have such an AMAZING journey ahead of you. You band area just needs to heal alittle, before we get to stage two, hang in there. My mind at this stage really messed with me. Stay UPBEAT and POSITIVE, get up and move, this time will pass. Stay Strong and remember why we did this, we do not want our band to slip. I am 2 years out 150 less, still more to go. Follow your direction to the "T". I promise it will get easier. Try ice or heat or shoulder, should help, but if you could start walking to get that air out it will help. Good Luck!
