Anyone Have A Good Roasted Chickpea Recipe?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to come up with some healthy Snacks to have around my house. I found a recipe for roasted chickpeas that I want to try. I will post the recipe, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any good roasted chickpea recipes....

Smoked Paprika Roasted Chickpeas

1 (15 oz.) can chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

1 Tbsp. EVOO

1 tsp. smoked paprika

pinch or two of salt

Preheat oven to 360 degrees. Drain, rinse, and pat chickpeas dry with paper towel (it is important that they are dry). Pour chickpeas in bowl and stir in all other ingredients until evenly coated.

Place chickpeas on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast for 40-50 minutes. Chickpeas should be crisp and dry on the outside, but still have slightest chew when eating. Let cool for 15 minutes and serve or store in air tight container.

I would appreciate any other recipes as well! Thanks!

They dont keep for very long....just a couple of days. So just make 1 can at a time. After about 3 days I saw mold growing on mine...

I doubled the batch and kept them in a tupperware container. I was really surprised. Maybe i should have kept them in the frig. That's why Im suggesting to only make 1 can at a time.

I've made that recipe and really enjoyed them. You can add different spices (red chili flakes, cayenne) for a little kick. I make a few cans at one time & keep cold - no issues staying for a week or so. Enjoy!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
