Lots of people getting banded this week!! Good Luck!

Today is Day 12 post-op and yesterday was the first day that I can say I was hungry! I don't know what was wrong with me but I wanted to eat everything. I really had to put a muzzle on it last night. :( Hope today is better. I go to my first post-op appt tomorrow. Will he do a fill only 2 wks out? Or will he wait until my 6 wk appt?

Today is Day 12 for me too and I am starting to get so hungry too!! I see my doctor on Friday! Let me know how your appt goes?

thanks... appreciate this. ive had some pressure from my youngest daughter. you may not remember but i never divulged to any of my family what i was having done. apart from hubby. well... my youngest daughter has been insisting that she come in to see me in hospital soon after surgery. i just had to send her a firm text telling her to humour me and leave me be. i dont want her finding out what the true reason for surgery is. its hard, but i felt i had to just say, please stay away!! what would you do??

You have to do what works for you. All of my kids were aware and supportive. I think the only people who did not know was my job and some of my distant family. Tell her when you feel u are ready for her to know. Explain to her that you don't need her to be with you right now and you will see her soon and you love her and you're glad that she wanted to be there for you. Good luck

I meet with the dietician and surgeon tomorrow for the 1st time after surgery. I am holding still at 12 pounds (according to my scales) from surgery day. I am hoping I get a fill but have a feeling I won't get one until 6 wks out. Today was a little better, I tried to drink more today in between my meals but this evening it has caught up to me. Thinking about going to bed early just so I won't be tempted with the kitchen. How sad is that!

Thanks. We are planning on stopping every hour or so I can walk around a bit. I have been walking up and down my hotel's hallway every hour or so. I forgot to mention earlier that i lost tight at thirty pounds (my doc requires a two week liquid preop). Thanks for the support and I loon forward to reading more about everyone else's journeys.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
