Have Only Had 1 Fill And All Of The Sudden I Can't Even Drink Water

I was banded in Jan 2011 and starting getting very frustrated after my first fill! I only lost about 15 lbs in a 4 month period and I started getting depressed because even after going thru a surgery, I apparently still couldn't lose weight! I went to the dr about a month ago and he didn't even do a fill but all of the sudden, I struggle to eat anything. I can't even drink water without being in pain and on the verge of vomiting. I know it isnt healthy, but I have been losing a pound a day almost which is kind of exciting. I just want to know if anyone else has had this happen? Is it just finally starting to work? Can it cause permanent damage?

You should not be in pain and you need to see your doctor.

You need to seek medical advice.

I was admitted to hospital recently with severe dehydration, and the xray showed my band has slipped slightly.

I have never felt so ill.

I have to see my surgeon this week so he can decide a course of action.

Losing a pound a day is not normal! You need to call your drs office because something is obviously wrong! Don't wAit and end up in the emergency room. You want your dr to see you, not someone who knows nothing about the lap band. PLEASE call your dr.
