Gee whiz, we're not super chatty, are we? I have to brag a little, I made some baked goods (which shall remain nameless)- and I didn't have a single one. At all. I knew I'd probably get stuck if I did, LOL, so why bother! Still having trouble with the ice cream, but it really is a lot less than it was, for sure! It was 2 giant bowls a night, now it's just one, LOL- but that's 50% less, right? Exercise has been a bust, I really need to get back in the mindset of doing something at night at home if I can't during the day. I need to get my mojo back!

I knew this would still be hard, so I'm not surprised. I know I go through cycles, and banding didn't change that. So now I'm just not going to gain a ton of weight during a down time, right? Right!! And then when it cycles back around I'll move down the scale without having to lose the pounds I had already lost and gained back! So it's all good, I'm human and I'm working on it!

Everyone have a great day! Do it RIGHT!!!

Keep plugging away Nicki! Once you get in a routine it will become easier. It took me several months. Now that I have lost all my weight my whole focus has changed and I am enjoying things a little more, but still logging everything and keeping the treatsnas small as possible. Still Protein first and veggies. Keep your eye on the prize! For some reason I am a lot better on the weekends then I am at work. I munch more at work then at home.

Hi Everyone! Sorry its been a while. Work has been crazy & still is, but I took some time this morning to catch up on posts. For some reason, I'm not receiving e-mails when you all post anymore. I need to check my settings I guess. I'm hovering around 170-172. I was down to 162 in December, so I'm a little bummed about that. I know I've been more laid-back in what I eat but really didn't think I was doing that much harm. However, when one is not moving as much as one was six months ago, I suppose those extra carbs decide to stay a while. LOL. I know I need to log my food again and get back to the gym more often. Hoping that the time change last week will help me get more motivated to get out of bed & go to the gym again. I decided that since my insurance deductibles start over again April 1, I'm going to get one more slight fill before that happens. Called the doc's office and, lo & behold, they had cancellations for today! I feel like I'm eating all the time and I wasn't doing that prior to December. Hoping I can get back to where I was (fill-wise) at that time. Someone (Nicole1 or SueBee maybe?) had suggested getting rid of the Protein Shakes. Well...I have to have that in the AM. My band is tighter in the mornings, and a Protein Shake is all I can get down. I don't drink them as much during the day, unless I'm trying to do a liquid fast for a couple of days. I think another big problem for me is not drinking enough Water. I might feel more full if I drank more water. I don't know. It seems that we're all having similar issues right now. I'm so glad we have each other to bounce things off of and get suggestions. JDI...I know your struggle is ice cream. I'm telling you...the Healthy Choice greek frozen yogurt in vanilla bean is sooo good & rich. One little cup usually satisfies me. I've also tried the strawberry flavor. It was okay, but was even better when I drizzled about a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar-free chocolate Syrup over it. My kryptonite right now is the Russell Stover chocolate truffle easter eggs that are out right now. I MUST stop buying them! lol. Have a blessed day everyone!!

Chrissy, I hope the fill helps, but if you are too tight to eat in the morning I would not get another fill. I would look at other things, like drinking more Water evaluate you food, log it, and get your exercise in. To me the exercise is my success. Expending as many calories as I was taking in while trying to lose.

I hope you can get back to where you want to be.

This has been a sad week for me already. Received one of those early morning phone calls Monday am to hear that a friend of mine died Sunday while stationed overseas. I set up a memorial today for those of us here in the states to reflect on his life. A very stressful time and I have found myself hitting the secretaries candy jar at work. I have logged it all and have kept my exercise up. This too will pass.

Hope everyone is well. Tell your friends and family that you love them. Life is too short.

Hi All. SueBee, sorry you lost your friend, and I so agree with your comment to love your friends and family NOW. You just never know what is in store for sure. My husband had a heart attack this week. He's fine now, with some heart stents placed during a four-day stay in the hospital. So didn't see that coming. Very scary and very much an eye opener for us both to take as much care as we can with our health.

I haven't weighed this week, although I should because I certainly didn't eat much hospital food and got tons of walking in... Where I lacked though was with drinking Water .. I've been trying to make up for that today.

Love and hugs to all of you .. And your loved ones!

Sue...my condolences to you on the loss of your friend. I agree...always tell people how much you love them.

The fill has helped some but today, I've found myself making bad choices. Chalking it up to PMS but still owning. Going to try to make myself go to zumba tomorrow.

Ladybandito, sorry to hear about your husband, but glad to hear things are working out!

Chrissy, did you make it to Zumba? You can get back on track!

Don't know where everyone is this weekend! Raining and really storming here. Had a little hail today and tornado warnings. So we spent the day at the movies and saw Olympus Has Fallen. It was really good.

Thanks for your support!

Ladybandido!! I am so sorry, and so glad you DH is doing better. Heart stuff is scary, it's what DH and I are dealing with- a pacemaker about 2 years ago, diagnosed with stage 3 congestive heart failure a year ago....just follow doctor's orders!

Good for you, Chrissy! I've been dismal at all of it for awhile now...

Sue- so sorry about your loss, so true to let everyone know how you feel about them.

Just checking in, everyone have a good day!

Nicki

Hi Everyone! So sorry I haven't been on here for months now. Looks like I've missed out on alot here in many ways. Still struggling with the flood issues, not in the house, and after 5 mths of dealing with all the issues, I've temporarily lost my will in re: to the lapband. I've put on 20lbs since SANDY which is depressing me even more. One would never know that I am dealing with the stress of this disaster on the outside but when I come home at night, all I do is eat junk food and sit on the couch and watch TV and hang out on my laptop. Bored stiff!

Spring is here, the monies are coming in from the insurance companies, contractors are in our house getting rid of the old and re-wiring electric, putting new ducts into the house for the heating and cooling and our house is being lifted 4 feet this week but still unlivable. I told the contractor the most important thing for me was to get the electric up and running so I can at least go over to the house and work out in my gym upstairs. LOL I am the kind of person who needs both, work out and eating to be in sync in oder for it to work properly. My poor FitBit sits there on the table waiting to be synced up again on a daily basis and do what it was meant to d .

:-(

Hoping within the next month, once the foundation is up, and the electric is on, I can at least get over there and start the process of getting back on track while the house is being worked on. The gyms around here basically want a year's contract and I don't want to sign up and pay for something that I won't be using for that long. My DH found a groupon coupon for me for a kick boxing class at Tiger Schulman's nearby for a month. I'm going over after work tomorrow and signing up for it. Can't wait to get my body, mind and soul back on track and back on LBT, FitPal and FitBit. I miss you all sooooo much.

Meredith,

Great to hear from you. Glad you are starting to make way with the repairs on your house. Let us know how the kick boxing goes. Boy, you will lose right away with that. I am proud of you being able to go through all the crap you have had to deal with from Sandy. You will soon be back on track. Welcome back!

Meredith! So glad to see you! I hate that you & your family are having to deal with the aftermath of Sandy! You still have our prayers that the recovery can move more quickly. I'm glad you have the opportunity for those classes...that should be a really good work out. And don't beat yourself up over the past few months. You've been through a lot...and the beauty of the band is being able to start over. Plus...you have all of cheering you on!

Happy Easter everyone! Haven't heard from anyone for a couple days. Hope all is well with everyone. Played golf this morning, it is beautiful out (about 75). Headed over to my parent's house for late Easter dinner. Ready for some ham, green Beans and cheesy hash browns! All planned for.

Hey all- another day in paradise! I was informed Friday that I would be movign offices, so I did that- not particularly happy, but it's all good. food was ok, DH was not. Story of my life. I'm pretty dang tired of stress, truly. I could use just a regular stress free day.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
