Bandit Baby

Hello, my name is Jessica, I'm a 16 year old Australian girl, with a story to tell. All my life I have been over weight. Growing up big isn't easier not only was I really over weight, I was a head and shoulders taller then everyone else.

When I was ten my mum had a doctors appointment, he did the usal poke and prod every other doctor did, only this time he didn't wait til I was out of the room, he said she is gonna die before she is 21 at the way she is going. So hearing that was a shock I didn't know how to deal with it, so we tired all sorts of fancy diets and pills. None worked. Going to school was hard, going to high school was scary and just emotionally and sometimes physically painful. Words I have heard my whole life didn't affect me by then, but the rocks and sticks did. People would push each other into me, I dropped out in year 10 to do home schooling because of medical issues that had come up, I have been gone two years. In those two years I learnt mire about myself, I admire this person I am. I got my lap band in September, I have lost 30 kg and I feel great :) and guess what? I'm going back to school. I love being in a social environment, I get my second fill Friday, then I go on a holiday to meet my brothers and sisters for the first time. I wouldn't have been able to even sit up for a few minutes 6 months ago, now I'm walking an hour and a half a day :) I love my lapband. :) thank you for listening :)
