I had my first fill at the end of oct and had 3 ml's put in and I had some complications with the doc getting fluid to go from my port to my band. They thought I had received a bad band, but thankfully everything worked out just fine. I just went for my second fill and my port flipped. I'm do upset right now. The radiologist tried so hard to flip it with no sucess. Im seeing my surgeon on Monday. So my question is what happens now? I'm terrified to go back under general anesthesia. Has anyone had this experience? What happens????

I was banded on 11/28 and I have to agree on the anesthesia(still very fresh in my mind). Recovering from all the drugs they put in your body is so stressful. I do not ever want to go back there again.

It can be done with twilight sleep and local anesthesia. That is where they give you wonderful IV drugs while they are numbing you up but if they talk to you you can still answer. It will be sore ish because of having to cut the skin again and restitch the port back onto the muscle and the muscle will be mad. There is no reason for them to enter your abdomen or inflate it with gas.

Thank you both for your kind words. I had such a mindset of being on the path to weight loss (because I have no restriction from my last full) it just literally broke my heart when I was told my band flipped.
