2nd day out and not sure what is going on

I am hoping you all can help. I had my surgery on Friday (10/21/11) and have a couple of questions I am hoping some can help me with. I have been very good about eatting only Clear liquids, broths, sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles but yet I find my self hungry, is this normal? Any sugestions to beat the cravings? For example I am getting ready to prepare lunch for the family and all I can think about right now is eating. Also I can not seem to get rid of the gas, any sugestions?

Any sugestions would be great, I want to do well and want to suceed and would love to talk with others that have found things that work for them.

Sure, it's normal and I'll probably get worse, but as your body gets used to being hungry it should ease up some. I use hot chicken

broth (it comes in a big jar from Costco) with protein isolate powder, for extra protein. That helps me a lot. I don't think I'll get any fills

for a while, but once in a while I do get hungry and the broth helps. Sometime a cup of tea helps, but you're just going to have to

find out what works for you. As for the gas, walking a lot helps most people. You're going to find a lot of new stuff about your

digestive system, it's had a substantial change. It'll all be worth it next year.
