How many of you have hypothyroidism?

I've had it for 16 years. My levels were last checked in March, I think. Anyway lately I wake up feeling so sleepy, I'm weak/ lightheaded and I've developed a horrible case of dandruff.

I've lost about 30 pounds since they were last checked. I'm getting in my daily Protein, Vitamins and Water so my thyroid is the first thing I think of.

As you've lost weight have your thyroid meds increased or decrease any?

I'm going to the doc tomorrow. If it's nit my thyroid then I'm not sure what else it could be.

Being tested right now. Results on Wednesday. I am constantly tired, can't get warm (which I just put down to having lost so much weight), but it is the lightheadedness that is really hard to take. I really hope they come up with an answer quickly so that I can start managing whatever is causing these symptoms.

This was an interesting thread!

We do have a Hypo Bandster site also. Check it out sometimes.

I've got the tired thing going on too and it's annoying. I was banded in Feb and feel like all I do is eat, work out, and sleep. I'm on Cytomel (t3) and doctor just put me back on Synthroid too. It seems a little better sometimes, other's not so great. seems the only way I can get any energy is to live on 5 hour energy drinks and then sometimes I can take one and go take a nap.
