lol ok.

How many of you are Canadians, and if you are, are you living in Canada? Cause... that's what I'm getting at with this question. :)

I'm looking to see who fellow Canadians got banded by IN Canada. Thank you anyway though.

Mandi

Yes, I'm Canadian, from Montreal. I was banded by Dr. Christou.

Hello my fellow Canadians!

I'd be happy to email anyone and offer support. I actually met someone at Dr Cobourn's office from Winnipeg that I will be emailing soon. I would love to be a modern cyber penpal.

Your right about it being exciting. I was lucky, I had Christmas stuff to keep my mind occupied until January. I only started getting nervous after that.

I'm schedule for my first fill on March 10th and that has me a little concerned. Just because he's so far away (not compared to you of course!), if it's too full I'd have to take even more time off work. But alas, worrying about everyone else is part of the reason I'm in this predicament...anyway, when you're there, try to make a friend in the waiting room. (Not the recovery room...because you won't remember!)

Hi There,

I was banded by Dr. Joffe/Dr. yau team at the Toronto Lapband Centre. They are my saviours!! Back in the day, $10K was the price.....3yrs ago. And worth every penny!

I am booked to be banded by Dr. Wai Leung in Surrey BC.

I believe there is another surgeon in Richmond, don't know his name. Other than that, I think Ontario.

What province do you live?

I don't think Paulax is talking to you, emtbaby4... seeing as where your from is stated just just under your name, and you've already told us about 4 times where and when you're getting banded. Oy.

Yeah, Paulax, you should specify who you're talking to when you post, if it's to someone in particular. Don't think it's me, cause I believe I said already.

Anyone out there from Montreal who went to Dr. Christou?

He's fabulous if you're looking for a dr.

Dr.Rodriguez Louisville Kentucky....He's Wonderful & the staff is amazing as well!

I'd like to here from Crazycanuck and anyone else banded by Dr. Cobourn. How was your experience? I have a meeting set up with him for the end of March.I have to say I'm really nervous about the procedure, but excited that this could be the answer, finally!! :)

Cloe,

I haven't gotten my band yet, but I can at least say that from talking to him, he seems super nice, and so do everyone at the clinic that I've talked to. His nurse, Marie is sooo nice!

Whereabouts do you live? If it's far enough away from the clinic, you should see about whether you can have a phone consult. I had mine a couple days after they got my consult fee. Dr. Cobourn called me at home at 8 oclock at night! How cool is that?! We talked for about half an hour, and that was considered my consultation. I have to have a quick meeting with him the day before surgery, but that's it.

Good luck,

Mandi
