The Harvest Moon Challenge

Recommended Posts

I'm down one pound this week, weighed in at 259. Been doing zumba 4, sometimes 5 days a week, sticking with my three small meals. But I have a problem. Dunkin Donuts pumpkin Spice Latte. It's the devil. Even though I get it with skim milk and no sugar, I know it's not a good option. I think I had one almost every day last week :oO

Oh Larry, you've been subtracting 100 lbs again lol. I was looking at the chart last week, you have my goal and starting weight 100lbs less than what it is lol. You don't have to go in and change it, just thought it was funny.

Checking in at 251--down one pound.

Also doing well with the other goals--I've been going to the gym six days a week and taking a yoga class twice a week. I also, for the first time in YEARS, actually ran a tiny bit during my 5K on the treadmill on Tuesday. So yesterday I went and got fitted for good running shoes.

My personal goal of doing active things with my 16-month old is also going well. Yesterday, I took her and my mother (who had a double knee replacement in July and is also looking for active things to do as she builds back up to walking regularly) to the children's museum, which has a toddler area full of toys and Water tables and reptiles enclosed in terrariums. Lots of fun playtime!

Checking in at 181.3! Down 2.5 pounds. I honestly can't remember my other goals but I know that I'm not doing great with exercise and really need to step it up this week.

My husband and I started our own weigh in. He is always trying to gain weight so he and I are setting goals and supporting each other. My original goal was to get under 200 and now my goal is to weigh less than my husband for the first time in 15 years. Happy to say that I only have to lose 1.5 pounds to meet that goal. This weeks goal: Lose 1.5 pounds!!!!! laugh.gif

Congrats Barbara!!! Happy dance for you! tongue.gif

Jessica: Try not to be too hard on yourself. I know everyone says this but going to the gym builds muscle so you probably lost fat and will lose weight next week. Keep up the great work.

Megan: I'm inspired with your exercise! That is impressive. rolleyes.gif

Lizzy: Great job finding ways to meet your goals. I have little kids too and I swear I should weigh 120 pounds the way I run after them all the time. The great thing is that it is soooooo much easier to run after them now!!! tongue.gif

Have a great week!

Jenn

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
