Newby here: Army wife

I have been researching online to see if Lap Band is the right answer for me. I'm 5foot 6 and an everincreasing 197 lbs. I consider myself a binge eater. I eat even after I am full, when I'm stressed out , and when i am bored. Will LapBand help me? I desperately need help as the pills I have taken so far are merely producing new symptoms.

The lapband is a tool. You will still need to change your behaviours for the band to help you lose weight. That said - if I overeat even slightly with my band, I feel so uncomfortable that I don't do it again for a long time and I am losing weight (60+lb in four months.)

Thanks for your response. Was recovery after being banded awful? How long did surgery take? Any helpful advice you can pass down.
