Lab-band newbie - banded July 21, 2011

I was banded on July 21, 2011. I just saw the doctor today and am down 19 lbs (not since surgery, since my last doctor's visit). I will be getting my first adjustment in three weeks.

I'm a little nervous about food right now because my doctor told me that any type of food will go down because I haven't had my first adjustment yet. I had tried tiny portions of real food (and chewed it until it was gone) so I just don't want to get into the mind set that I can eat anything I want.

Other than that, I feel great and am so excited to step on the scale each morning.

I'd love to hear from others who have had lap-band. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated!!!!
