Hi! I decided a year or so ago that I would have Lap Band surgery. My family and friends are not supportive in my decision... I have found a great Dr. and have been seeing the required nutritionist for insurance purposes; however, the dicouraging remarks from those around me, has brought me here to seek some support, and learn of others experiences. I find that alot of people think lapband is taking the easy way out - and I have to disagree! Deciding to physically alter my body in order to change my health has been the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm Day 11 Post-op now and don't regret it for a second - and every person I know who has the band tells me the exact same thing. Yes, it is an adjustment, but YOU are worth it!
