Liquids the First Couple of Weeks

I was told by my doctor's office only broth, crystal light, shakes and V-8 essentially, but a book I am reading said I could a smoothie from low fat yogurt, loaw fat milk and fruit - has anyone done this or been told anything different?

I've noticed that every Dr. has a different liquid diet. I was on Clear liquids for the first 7 days then I was able to move to liquids like creamy Soups, cream of wheat, yogurt, smoothies...... I would run if by your Dr. and ask him about it.

My doctor has me on a full liquid diet. Milk, applesauce, pudding. Basically anything that can go through a strainer. I'm cheating and introducing mushies early because I feel woozy. Have had two servings of mushies and feel a bit better. Pain went away too but could just be a coincidence.
