What are or were your favorite foods to "eat" on the liquid stage?

Recommended Posts

I'm 10 days post op and have to wait until Tuesday before i get more of the "mushie" type foods. I'm getting bored with what I've been having so I'm wondering what were some of your favorite things to eat on liquids? :)

I pretty much lived on Jello, yogurt, carnation instant Breakfast and broth. The week before surgery I put chicken and vegetables in the crock pot. When it was done, I strained it and threw away the solids. Then I put the broth in small containern the freezer in preparation for my 2 weeks of Clear Liquids.< /span>

Broccoli cheese Soup, thinned out with milk, put through a blender, and heated up. A few cooked grits added to it for a little texture (things like grits and cream of wheat are allowed on my liquid diet). Either with or without the grits: yummy!

Mmm that sounds so good! I can have cream of wheat on my liquids stage, does that mean probably grits as well?

I would guess so. My surgeon listed several things that were about that consistency: cream of rice, cream of wheat, grits . . . the paperwork says to thin it out enough so that you could get it through a straw. I've had grits twice now and it was fabulous. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
