Last of the back-of-the-closet jeans

as i'm sure you all know, as you go UP in weight, periodically you'll clean out your closet in disgust, but there's usually one or two things you hold on to because you just KNOW that someday you'll fit into them again!

today i'm wearing my last pair of back-of-the-closet treasures, and they're not even snug. i have reached the end of my tangible weight gain history. the next time i buy a new size of jeans - which i fully expect to be by the end of this month, given the way my 18s are fitting now - i will be buying a size that i wore so long ago that i can't even remember when it was. pretty cheerful about that, as you might imagine!

:D

Way to go!! I know how it feels to grab something from the back of the closet and think you still won't be able to wear it...... and then amazingly it fits! I have some jeans I bought a few years ago when i managed to lose 40 lbs on my own. They were very snug when I bought them and of course I gained all of my weight back before I could even wear them a few times. I grabbed them a few weeks ago, just to see if I could even get them on. They were too big!!!

That's awesome! Almost 2 weeks post op and I can't wait for those non-scale victories!

Isn't that a great feeling? Enjoy your old favorite but don't get too attached. Before you know it, it'll be too big for you. Last week I came across an old pair of favorite jeans that I had forgotten about. I put them on and the darn things were hanging off of me!! Seriously? I'm smaller now than I was 33 years ago when I was 18!?!
