Kind of a random question, but I'm a big "sweater" and it is horribly embarassing. I have been this way all of my life and I am hoping it will get better wtih weight loss, but I'm not so sure that's the problem. Have you guys noticed a diference when it comes to sweating?

Thank you for your honesty. I also have been a sweaty person in the past; and yes, so far I have sweat a lot less. I used to take showers twice a day feeling really gross each time, and now I take a shower once a day and haven't felt like my clothes were sticking to me when I got in. I hope that you have the same experience!

When I started losing last year I swear I was sweating like I never have before - even started using my husband's deodorant. Now that summer is back so is my sweat- I think it's pretty normal. I know if it's a problem a dermatologist can give botchilism injections in underarms to stave off the sweating

The weird thing is that sweat around my face and head where you abslutely cannot hide it! It wrecks my life. My pits are fine. I always have weird conditions......lol. Oh well, I would rather be thinner and sweaty than fat and sweaty, I guess! Have to find humor in it somehow.

I really think as you lose weight you won’t sweat as much!! But just think… your body is working really hard carrying around all the extra pounds (trust me I know I sweat a lot!!) and it’s a workout! When we workout we sweat… so it’s only normal that when we move and are overweight we will sweat because we are working our bodies out. So I honestly believe that once the pounds come off the sweating will reduce! Don’t laugh at me but I can tell with just the little bit of weight that I have lost my rolls aren’t as sweaty!! YAY! I know I’m not talking about my face sweating BUT I’m sure once your body isn’t putting in such a workout to move around you will see a big difference!

Not only do I not sweat like I used to, when everyone else is hot, I'm usually cold. While my BMI is still in the "overweight" range I have very little body fat left. I have a large frame and am pretty muscular. I think that's the problem.....I don't have any insulation left. Winter in Michigan this year about killed me. The first 2 days that it got over 90 here, everyone else was boohooing about the heat and humidity. I loved every minute of it. Finally, I wasn't freezing my a$$ off!!

I'm with Cindy, I used to be hot all the time, now I'm freezing even with heat. The good news my a/c bill is really low.

I sweat all the time especially my face and head! I thought that I was the only female with that problem. And of course the rolls and backs of thighs and top of the thigh where the tummy hangs over. Gross! I was so hoping that would change after weight loss. Depending on your job it's hard to be taken professionally when your dripping wet and wiping your face with a paper towel during meetings. That would just be so great not to have to worry with all that.

I very seldom hear of females who sweat as bad I as do around my face and neck so I am glad I posted this to the forum. It's been an embarassing issue i have dealt with for my entire life and it sucks in the "professional" world because you are right Pitbull, it is hard to be taken seriously. People always want to bring attention to my issue and then I get nervous and the problem worsens. It sucks!!!! I am praying the weight loss will at least lessen the issue and it sounds like this might be a possibility. I can only hope.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
