Hello! My name is Emily, and I am new to this site. I was banded with the realize lap band in December of 2007. I began vomiting on a consistent basis about two years ago. I had multiple tests done, was told my band had not slipped, and eventually was told that some people's bodies just don't accept the band well. Then a few months ago, I got pregnant. As is normal per pregnancy, my band tightened (because of vomiting it was completely empty of fluid when becoming pregnant). After vomiting to the point of keeping no food down, I saw a doctor that was willing to remove my band. When I came out of surgery, I was shocked to hear that I showed signs of being allergic to the band. I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this?
Thanks!
Emily
