Ladies ~ is having no BM few days after lapband normal?

Hey ladies ,

This is gross but I have to ask. I had surgery on Monday May 9th. I have been going to the bathroom to pee with no problem, but have yet to have a bowel movement. I just started my Protein shakes today so I'm assuming this is normal? Is it?

Thanks

Isabella,

It's completely normal! Keep in mind your not eatting like you used to as well! Your body has nothing to actually get rid of, it can take awhile. Mine took about 5 days or so.

I don't think I had one until a week after surgery. It was weird but perfectly normal.

I think it was about a week before I had one.

It was 3 or 4 days for me as well. However I did need to use miralax to help out because it was becoming painful for me. So when you feel the need if it's painful then ask your doc about something like that. Good luck!
