Penni I’ve been thinking of you all morning, something Christina said…You’ve done everything for everyone else and it’s your turn now! You’ve accomplished so much, having a family at an early age, supporting others in need, and always being there for others. It’s time for YOU.

What amazes me, is your not a quitter, you’ve been through so much and just keep going.

Eveready Penni!

Show your tummy, with your old and new scars. Explain how you've done EVERYTHING including going through major surgery to lose weight. Be bright and be shinning. Don't whine, don't cry. Your strong suit is being strong, so be strong.

I like Vinesqueens approace.

Tell the truth ..... tug at their heart and let them see the real struggle and the drive and the passion that you have and are willing to put into your Quest.

Good Luck.

Wear RED - It is a powerful commanding color and produces such good results.

This is an easy one.

Just tell them the truth Penni.

Tell them in 2 mins how you raised your kids & where you are now w/John. Take the last three mins to show them your scars & the horrible-well make it sound horrible ordeal you went through w/the band. Tell them you've learned it all but even being a nurse hasn't helped you put all your knowledge to the test. That once and for all you want to conquer this demond & you will stop at nothing to accomplish this.

Don't forget to laugh a little & cry a little & smile alot. Tell them that you've been a moderator on a support group for obese people & that you wish to show them through the BL that anyone can overcome any obstical if given the chance. end it with a "Please please pick me for your next show, my bags are packed & I have my support team in place all that is needed is my chance to have a healthier me. Or something along those lines, you'll figure it out.

A great help would also be a list of every diet & exercise program that has failed in the past . You can have it written extra large on a poster baord behind you while you do some of the interview. You don't needed to waste time reading all of it,cause others will do that has well but just maybe point it out. Tell them you have a goal set to walk the 3 day breast walk w/your best friend in MICHIGAN come this next August & you don't want to let her down> Oh, by the way thats me! We could do it together!

Any other help just call me I should be around. Good luck! You can also hold up a olb pair of jeans maybe for inspiration. Talk about the new grand kids on the way & how you simply must be there for them. Again just start with the truth & all will be great!

Love ya

Vera you made me cry. I love you guys so much. I am thrilled with all the comments and had just about decided to do just what you all mentioned. Now I know this is what I shall do. I have the perfect red outfit too. LOL!!

This has been a terrible week for me emotionally. I am struggling with my Mom and her upcoming surgery at the end of the month. I know I told some of you that my daughter in Florida just found out she was pregnant. Well today she calls and tells me she just miscarried. SO that is now weighing on me as well. This is a hard week. I did manage to go for a nice 1 and a half mile walk this morning with John which felt GREAT!

I am getting my script together and gonna get some pics of my grandkids close by to show as well. I feel really good about this decision. At least I will have tried it.

You guys are what is keeping me sane right now.

HUGS!!

Tell them you've been a nurse on a cancer unit. It's just another example of how much you take care of others first. Some people go to school to become nurses, others of us were born nurses... I'd be willing to bet money that YOU were born a nurse. Best of luck to you! Hey tell them to come ask US who they should pick!

So sorry to here about your daughter Penni. But chin up - like we talked about on the phone. She will hopefully be pregnant again very soon & all will be 100% perfect.

I am so happy also to hear that your back let you walk that far. I bet that really did feel great! Nice work!

I don't have anything to add b/c I don't know you but wanted to wish you good luck! I love The Biggest Loser and I think it would be really interesting to watch with someone who has the perspective of having gone through lap band surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
