NYS Empire Ins ~ how long for approval?

Hi everyone ~ I've had all my pre op testing and appts done and am now awaiting insurance approval. Does anyone know how long it normally takes to hear from ins company? I have NYS Empire ins.

I'm getting nervous - it's been a week now and no answer :0/

    it took my insuruance 6 weeks to get approved and then 2 weeks later i got banded, you have nothing to worry about , it takes time to get all of the paper work in order and insurance takes forever to approve anything lol

    I have NYS Empire too and it took 12 days to get approval. It was very quick. I am getting my band on 4/15
