MyFitnessPal.com Members

Hi Everyone,

I am a fellow lap-bander (banded October '09) and I use MyFitnessPal.com to track my foods, exercise and weight loss goals. It's a great tool. Are any of you members? It is free, if you are interested.

If you are members or become members, what do you think of becoming "buddies" on this site so we can look at what each other eats and excercise, etc. for help and tips?

Reply here or PM me if you're interested. I can give you my email address and you can look it up on Myfitnesspal.com so we can be linked.

Be well,

Renee

I'm one week post-op and I use MFP several times a day. It has really been helping me to understand the nutritional makeup of foods - something I've never understood before. However, it doesn't seem to track my weight very well, and I do wish it allowed photographs at the different weights so I can see my progress. :-S

I'm set up with MFP, and I'm planning on using it to track food and exercise. Im still a month out from surgery, so it won't be that exciting for a while!

Anyhow, I'm wondering if folks would like to share screen names so we can grow our friend lists and support each other there as well.

My screen name is: threecrows

Anyway to bypass that pop up saying I'm eating under the recommended calories and said guys should eat at least 1200 and women should eat at least 1000 calories?

I have tried to switch back over to mfp because there are SO many users there, but I just don't like it. I am much happier with my current app: "Lose It!" The user interface is beautiful, food tracking and challenges are great, and I prefer it's broader categories of exercise.

For example, Maybe if I get deep into training I will want to know exactly how many sets and reps I did on each strength training exercise, but for now I'm happy with just "weights" and a designation of light vs intense.

If anyone else is using this particular app, let me know and we can connect.
