  1. Oh I understand! I thought I was the only one on an actual liquid pre-op diet. Day 12 of liquids. Only one more day before its clear liquids only
  2. I'm on day 12 of liquid diet. Water, broth, and Atkins shakes. What I wouldn't do for a piece of meat or veggie! Christmas was hard! I haven't cheated, which is a blessing because ohhhhh do I want to!
  3. Hi guys, I'm going thru my pre op diet (apparently one of the stricter ones) , and misery loves company anyone else here Dec 30th??

  6. Oops, user name is alix1019

  8. Anyone use MyFitnessPal? I'm looking for some buddies on my app! My user name is alix1019. My support group has really faded out this year. I'm still pre-opp so it'd be really nice to see people in my stage, or who's already been sleeved and their success and what their doing to continue losing!
  9. In need of a buddy! Surgery scheduled for Dec 30th. Anyone need a pen-pal?
  10. Hi Nikki! I'm one week pre-opp and its so nice to read positive stories. Glad things are going well
  11. So cool to read these! I'm Alix, Im 25 years old. I'm a "stay at home" house wife and mother of 2 beautiful little girls. Im actively part of a wonderful church, Girl Scout leader, 4H mom, Extreme couponer, Independent consultant for a DS company, and on my free time I love to crochet baby blankets. Oh and I clean house for an elder gentleman twice a week. I'm in love with my kitchen. I spoil myself with the best of everything from pots and pans to silverware. My kitchen is MY space to be alone. I have a passion for cooking... To make my guests say "wow". I'm 5'8", 272 lbs and one week pre-op. I'm very nervous! As a teen, I strived hard to be and stay fit. I ate 800 calories a day and ran 6 miles daily, to stay 170 lbs lol once we had my oldest daughter, my weight went out of control. And so did my second pregnancy. I was on bed rest at 20 weeks for pre-eclampsia. It was the scariest part of my life. Hopefully by this time next year we will have another " bun in the oven", but this time, in a healthy way.
  12. Thank you! Im not certain why, but I'm so scared to be rejected over not losing enough. I'm scared of not meeting their goal by only 2 lbs or so then being told to reschedule out another month.
  13. Thank you! And I hope so! The RD has me on Atkins Protein Shakes, I think I might switch to clear liquid just to be safe? Did u exercise as well or was it just your diet? The dietician didn't even mention exercise...?
  14. I JUST joined and looking for a support group. I have surgery on the 30th and I'm very excited/concerned/nervous! A little about myself. Im a 25 year old, married, mother of two beautiful girls. My husband tries so hard to be supportive, but he's never had problems with being over weight. The sentence "a few handfuls of Doritos won't make you fat" came from his mouth just two weeks ago... I need to lose 15 lbs in 12 days. I'm on the liquid diet (only day 2)... Is this even possible?!. I worked so hard to get the surgery date in 2014, I don't want to blow it. Any tips or pointers would be much appreciated! SW: 285 CW: 275 GW: 175
