Baby kicks and the port....OUCH. And measuring ahead...

Recommended Posts

So...I'm 30wks with a VERY active baby. An active baby that really seems to dislike my port in her way. Anyone else feeling painful port kicks???? Sometimes my belly pokes out where the port is and I think there's a little foot trying to get it out of her way.

Also, I'm measuring at 34 wks and my midwife tends to think that this is because of the port and band taking up abdomen space? Anyone measure far ahead during their pregnancy??

Actually, I was thinking that there must be a reason why babies like the port so much. Anything else that they would kick would be relatively soft in comparison. As they are exploring the womb, it is probably one of the only 'hard' things they can feel. Perhaps it is target practice, lol.

My baby loves to hang out around the port- it is like he snuggles his feet right by it!

I am due in 2 weeks and I have been measuring big too.

Oh wow I am 24 weeks.. I guess this is something I will experience soon.. How long before you started feeling your baby kicking your port?

My little one was transverse for the longest time and would head butt my port. It would KILL. Now my port is sore more then anything and I can feel some of the scar tissue tearing a little, which can be pretty painful.

My port sticks out like a turkey timer, to the extent people will touch it thinking its a foot and then go "OMG WHAT IS THAT?!" hahahahaa

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
