Thanks Newbie!
This helps so much! Can you tell me some about your pregnany? Did you have any of your Fluid removed? How has the weight loss gone from having your baby? i am at 18 lbs gained right now at 34 weeks.
Thanks!
Emily
you are so welcome! This is my first baby and i get so nervous about band stuff. There arn't a lot of resources for pregnant bandsters out there! I was watching youtube and there is a girl who does a video on what it is like to be pregnant with the band- it was VERY helpful- her name is "swish"- check it out, it will make you feel so much better about the port!
i talked to my OB about this and she said everything is fine, she said my pregnancy should have no effect on the port hole- but it does protrude and feels weird! I am 29 weeks and i feel it all the time! I plan on having my surgeon check it out right after the baby is born, but from what I read on here- it is normal.
Good Luck with your pregnancy!!
My first trimester I lost 12 lbs and I even had some of my fluid removed becasue i was feeling a little sick. I also got full very quickly- something changed in my 2nd trimester and it go a lot better. The first trimester was not fun but hang in there!!!
Hi Ladies,
I was banded back in Dec 2009 and lost about 65 lbs before getting pregnant. So far I have gained 12 lbs and I was unfilled slightly from a 5.5 to a 4.5 in a 10cc band.
The pregnancy has not been bad at all till about 2 weeks ago. I am experiencing pain around my port. I am so nervous that it has flipped or ripped off my abb wall! (okay a little dramatic) I hope this is normal feeling- i could just be paranoid. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this with their pregnancy too!! The port feels like it is protruding like a baby's foot.
I also want to say- i LOVE my band! I am so happy that I got it.
I am 7 weeks pregnant and down 10 lbs- anyone have this? I am not trying to loose weight, I just feel sick and don't feel like eating as much. I don't want to be a bad mother!
I had my band 8 months ago- down 64 lbs total.
